Instructor
Emma Kenney was born in Lancaster, CA, but spent most of her childhood in Colorado. She has been dancing for over 15 years, and has studied Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Pointe, Acrobatics and Modern. Emma’s specialty has always been Tap, and she has had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the country, such as Ryan Lohoff, Angela Carter, Gregg Russell and Donovan Helma. Emma danced competitively from ages 9 to 16, and during her last two years of high school she performed with the Davis Dance Next Generation pre-professional company based in Denver, CO. After two seasons in the pre-professional company, she was promoted to Apprentice with the Davis Contemporary Dance Company. Emma started exploring her creativity through teaching and choreography when she was 14, but didn’t begin teaching dance full time until she graduated high school in 2019. In June 2021, Emma left her hometown of Parker, CO for the small town of Clayton, NC. She is excited to share her knowledge and passion with a new dance community, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her dance career.
